I was wondering what these bottles were used for. Both are satin finish. One is a light purple or pink color and the other is white witha little puple on the bottom part. Both has glass rings on each side of the bottle. I'm not sure if they are hand blown. There are no molk marks. One is 9" tall the other is 8" tall

These are yak milk v-asses from a dying out family in the Himalayas by the name of Numdiks. The one on the right belonged to Ima. Story is that if a family member broke one of these, they had to cut their wrists with the schards. They are very rare for this reason because the Numdiks were very clumsy.
Actually, I've had a rough day & slap-happy, but it was a good story, wasn't it? I like them & have seem such a thing before but don't remember where or if it was told what the purpose was of the rings.
