Purchased from a friend, this is a rare example of a documented late 1930s Loetz decor.
Das Böhmische Glas 1700-1950, Band VI - Art Deco - Moderne Plate VI.12 (see last photo for scan) shows this decor on a pulled handle shape as "unidentified", dating from 1936.
Cobalt blue glass, with a thick band made with silver threads of glass. Mold blown, polished pontil. The glass is fairly thick compared to earlier production. Iridescent. I have also seen examples of this type in opal glass.
