I was visiting with a friend in her shop the other day and ran across this Egyptian motif slag glass lamp. Dont know anything about it yet except that it is slag and brass, and very substantial in weight. It seems to be put together very well and by someone who was very good at the leaded part of connecting the slag glass into the wonderful pyramid shape. I love the scene on this with the camels, palms, and pyramid in the background. Have not had a chance to look over it as closely as I would like and I have not found any makers mark on it yet...If anyone out there has seen or knows who made this lamp I would love to hear from you. Happy Holidays Everyone!
After a little help from everyone here on CW I can say with confidence that this lamp was in a Joe Camel Catalogue. A smoker would save the label off of cigarettes and trade them for items. Never knew they had such well made items in those catalogs, I would have traded brands..hahaha! Thanks for the help TallCakes!

beautiful lamp jay -- colors go nice with your blue opalescent glassware -- bet when it is turned on it gives a pretty affect to the room -- pretty lamps are always such mood lifters for me -- have a great day
I really like this! Love interesting lamps. Unfortunately my favorite met with an untimely end...sniff.
:( sorry to hear about the lamp AmberRose. I also had a favorite that ended the same way not too long ago.. I kicked the front door shut on the house one day due to my hands being full. Next thing I know, I hear a bone chilling crash and without looking I knew what had happened. The Antique Fenton quilted ruby red shade had been shaken too hard and had fallen to the floor. I nearly cried. I bought it 15yrs or so back for an anniversary gift to my wife. I had never seen a red glass shade like this one before, They had every other color available...you know the ugly ones that nobody wants. Haha. I Loved this the minute I saw it a few months back. Thanks for the Comments
