My friends father (also my friend) passed away at 92. His place was going to be torn down and I was helping them haul things and noticed the doorbell. They said I could have it so I removed it and now it is at my house! It is very loud! just turn the handle Key outside on porch, and bell inside rings, and can be heard really heard in any room in the house! Also uses no electricity! haha. I looked up on internet and was listed as Victorian on one site. This is original, I saw one brass plated new, copy, for $85.00! I am happy with original!! The photo makes it look dented and rusty, it is not dented or rusty but in very good condition! thanks for looking!
