Do not see these often. It is from a gas-pump island and holds a round porcelain double-sided sign. Also has to brackets for a smaller curved sign to go on the top! Negotiated it (and other stuff) from a long boarded-up station before they demolished it. The station operated 1927-1975. Full pole and top band. I do not encounter many of these.

    I meant two (2) brackets

What brand of gas did they sell at the station?

I have no idea. I took a pic of my TransAm infront of the Island/pumps in 2002.
Maybe that will give a clue? I'll post it.

What size band is that?, is there a base at end of the pole?

No base, hollow pole. It is out of shape so measuring finds 25, 26 & 27"... guessing 26 if straightened.

I have a small sign that would fit I bet.
