This is, I think, a Hindu Statue of Ganesh. It is approximatly 6-1/2 inches in height. I believe it is made of cast bronze. I am looking for information on how to date it/identify it. Is it old? Is it worth anything?
It belongs to a young lady, who was given it several years ago, for good luck. So far the luck hasn't been too good for her, but if it is worth anything she would probably sell it to help her situation. I don't want an appraisal, just some knowledge about the item. (she was told it is over 100 yrs old) Any one out there know anything about it or where I could go for more information? Thanks for any help you can give.
