MERRY CHRISTMAS LoetzBuddies:)
Fabulous.....:-)
Thanks David, BELLIN68, inky and Tony.
Very Beautiful. ?
What did they do with the pontil?
How is it finished?
Peter63 : Because of the applied foot there is no pontil.
nice, it exists in reverse colors too
jericho : interesting.......maybe I can find one.
Looks very similar to the one I posted a few days ago. Very nice piece and nice to see the colors accurately portrayed :)
ks85 : yes it's from the same Deco period.
Your "chalice" shaped piece is 1908 Series II Production Number 6322. It should measure about 168 mm high. "6 Lippen, 3 Rosetten" according to the book.
dlfd911 : Thanks for the info. but if it's 1908 why does it have the post 1918 oval mark on the bottom ? Maybe just a long production time ?
That must be it, Frank. There is only one similar form in the book and that paper pattern dates from 1908, but it is very possible that they dredged up an old pattern to use with a newer decor.
