This is a 1928 Blotter Calander from my grandmother
I am not sure of where it's from, i wish I knew so could
learned more where it came from. I do believe is it a water color painting.
What hold it together is a leather string. It does have ink stains
on blank paper, but other wise It is in great shape.
Hope you like it.

More British Arts & Crafts style, but this style helped birth the Art Nouveau movement (particularly the influence of Morris and Macmurdo). The phrase is from a late 19th century poem by American poet Susan Coolidge. I don't think the image is a painting, though. It looks like a lithographic print, but its hard to tell from the photo. Very nice.
There's an artist monogram to the right of the girl, which looks like some combination of L, E, and C. Also, in the upper right corner you can see proof of it being a printed, not painted, piece. The color block of the lithographing that corner was not perfectly aligned and can be detected in that area.
Thank you, cogito for the information I did not see that, I always assume that any signature would be bottom of the right or left.
