THESE EXCITING MATERIALS COME FROM DAVE LITTLELFIELD, ONE OF THE VERY FEW PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY TO HAVE JITKA LMENIKOVA'S MOST RECENT BOOK ON LOETZ DESIGNS.
AT LAST WE KNOW THE ORIGINS OF THE SO-CALLED "KOLO MOSER" CRACKLE JUG.
THE PATTERN WAS CALLED, APPROPRIATELY ENOUGH, "KRYSTALL KROCODIL" AND THE JUGS WERE PRODUCED IN 1906 AS PART OF A GENERAL TABLEWARE ORDER FROM LUDVIG FRANKEL, BERLIN. LATER, OTHER DECORS AND COLORS FOR THIS SHAPE WERE ADDED.
THEY ARE NOT ATTRIBUTED TO KOLO MOSER.
