This is a 11 1/4" fixed blade knife marketed as a "Rambo" knife in the early 1980's. Marketing was based on the Sylvester Stallone movies (1982) First Blood and (1985) Rambo: First Blood Part II. There were two additional Rambo movies released in 1988 and 2008. This knife was purchased in 1984 and is stamped 420/Stainless Taiwan. It includes the leather sheath, sharpening stone, and a screw off cap that contains a liquid-filled compass. Inside the cap is a small survival kit consisting of the wire saw (the two rings are used as finger rings on the ends of the saw), package of fish line and hooks, and wood matches.
