Was cleaning my glass display cabinet in the Dinning Room yesterday which house's my covered candy dish collection. while doing so, each piece of glass got a good cleaning as well.. decided to kill two birds with one stone and take better photo's of my candy's after cleaning each one. while cleaning this particular candy, i discovered it had a Made in Czechoslovakia mark on the side of the dish... didnt know it was marked! have had it for years..., i love it when that happens..
Art Deco era Czechoslovakia art glass covered candy dish .. This piece and it's decor has been attributed to Franz Welz, but there is no definitive proof of such a claim as to most Czech Deco Export glass, also the decor is called "Vertical lines and spots" Kralik? Ruckl?.. this piece is stunning with the red strutted foot and the robins egg blue makes a fantastic color combination... 7" tall and 4 1/4" wide
