This piece is undocumented according to Bredhofts Hobbs book and I cannot find it in any of the original Hobbs catalogs. It is certainly made by Hobbs Brockunier presumably around the 1880's. The bowl is triple cased with pink richilieu on the interior then it is plated in alabaster and finally cased in vaseline.
