AmphoraPot…
(21 items)
Figural Vase by Ernst Wahliss
Bohemia, circa 1900
12.5" high
Wahliss was both a seller and producer of fine ceramics. His Vienna store purportedly had the largest porcelain offering in Europe at one point. He also had stores in Paris and London. He had a long intertwined history with Amphora, which is why you will find his ceramics in the books on Amphora. You can read about this history in Monsters & Maidens: Collector's Edition by Dr. Byron Vreeland, the exceptional Amphora collector and scholar.
This particular vase is featured in Monsters & Maidens.
