We recently purchased this clock from a gentleman near Atlanta and believe it was manufactured around 1905. The man we bought it from refinished the case and polished the brass but he did not touch the movement. It runs great so we decided to leave it as is. The movement is by Waterbury Clock Works but we are not sure if the entire clock was manufactured by Waterbury or it just has the Waterbury movement. We have looked at thousands of clocks on the web and have yet to find one like it. The oak face seems to be rare except in mission style wall clocks. We just wanted to share it and see if anyone had any additional info. Thank you.

      Horner?

Thanks for the input Cogito. After looking at some of the Horner furniture on the web, the carvings on our clock are very similar. I'll keep searching.

The paw feet and lion scrolls are fairly typical of Horner. The oak case appears consistent with their output, as well.

Never come across anything like it. It's been exceptionally well cared-for. Even the paw feet don't appear to have any scuff marks or damage. You might also try posting it on the NAWCC's message board. You'd have to register and then I'd try the "Clocks General" forum to see if anyone can provide additional information.
Go to http://mb.nawcc.org/forum.php . Good luck. It's a beautiful Mission Style clock.

Thanks Bruce99. I'll take your suggestion and see what I can find out.

Okay, good luck. I forgot to mention that you shouldn't ask for appraisals in the general forums. There is a forum for appraisals but it requires a subscription.
