I bought a 110 year old building in Rawlins, WY. One of the many businessess this building held over the years was a clothing store. I believe these portfolios came from there. They are new in box and are priced @ $1.95 (1940's dollars). I believe they were made in 1942 to 1943 based on the calendars printed on the inside flaps. They contain envelopes, pad of paper and address books. They all come with a photo holder, I have several styles some come with a photo of Maureen O'Hara, others with Clark Gable and others with Gen. McArthur. They are embosed with the US Army seal on the cover.
