I've had the first one for awhile, and the second one i found recently. I forgot the name of the people who created the first one in Afghanistan/Pakistan/ or India. ?? I'm not sure if the second one is actually mudcloth. it is definitely woven and beautiful, but i don't even know where it's from.

i found out that the second pic is a fine piece of Kuba cloth made by the Kuba people in the Congo. cool!
very pretty -- do you know when they might have been made???
i don't know how old they are, but i do know the second one is at least 30 years old since it was a gift back in the 80s. the complex levels of the diamond patterns is what makes it a very good piece of kuba cloth - according to someone who saw it on my flickr site.
