My wife inherited this and absolutely loves it. She has a collection of compacts and considers this one of her favourite pieces.

However she knows nothing about it, other then that it is enamelled, plays the blue danube waltz and is in great condition except that the lipstick is missing.

Does anyone know more about this one please?

I have a musical compact too which I also inherited and love. I would listen to it when my mother would be getting ready. Mine has a white coloured pearl lid with tiny 'diamond' jewels on it. Unfortunately I don't recognise the tune and it never had a lipstick. The compact I believe was purchased in the 1960's.
