Help! :) I'm confused. This piece was purchased by me as being a Fenton piece. There is no mark and, as you see, it lights up bright under the black light. I went to an antique market today where a Fenton expert was to be. He told me that it is not Fenton, but rather Northwood from the late 1880's (beginning of Harry's own company). Anyone care to venture who is correct? There are no marks. The interior is not completely smooth. There is a bit of cloudiness where the waterline would be from use. In plain light the yellow is very soft and the swirls are also very soft... not definitive lines like later glass. I look forward to hearing what you guys think... thank you!!

Thank you Bellin68! I find the tight ruffle at the top is somewhat unusual... there do not seem to be as many ruffles on the others from that era.
my guess is either Jefferson or Northwood. Looks like most folks attribute this 12 crimp spiral/swirl opalescent design to Jefferson; many of the Jefferson molds were passed on the Northwood.

way toooo cool -- i have a piece that react similar to the black light as yours it is a globe -- it posted on "my favorite uranium pieces" if you want to take a lookie lou -- love the vase -- fenton made a perfume atomizer called feathers something which i also particularly like -- since it throws the light due to the swirls in a similar fashion
