The first photo is old New York Times Newspaper story about Kiska, one of the Aleutian Islands. 2nd photo is my dad Capt. John Boyd at Attu Aleutian Is. off Alaska, where 3,500 Japanese soldiers were killed. 3rd photo is Dr. Mubry on Attu Is. They then went to Kiska and it was deserted? No Japanese, The article said maybe the Japanese had giant subs to escape? Well it also said only thing was a dog on the Island! The Dog was a NAVY Dog!! There were 10 Navy Radio/weathermen on Kiska with the dog!! They were captured by the Japanese when they took the Island. My dad said the dog had a Japanese scarf around its neck! I am happy the Japanese did not kill the dog! BUT I always wondered what happened to the 10 American Navy men that were captured? I will try to research this. I was in Vietnam and people (men) do terrible things in war. I hope they are ok and survived! Kind of funny, men can not get along, but all men love dogs! Thanks for looking!
