This Buick sign was from my grandfathers Buick dealership. (1923) We recently found it in a local barn. It is 68 x 48 and 42lbs. It is double sided. I was hoping someone could help me with some informtion. It has a stamp on it that says 51. It that the year it was made? Is it porcelain? I haven't had much success in researching it. Could it be rare? Our family would like to know some sort of value of it. I think it is amazing.
Thanks
Mary

yes 1951,no not porcelain, painted(I notice it's peeling)rare... is a matter of opinion.Sorry we do not do values on CW.Hope this helps!
if you noticed when you posted this, there was a notice not to post appraisals .Not trying to be mean ,just noting.
I have a friend who has one thats in mint condition. Email me at brickles420@aol.com and I'll get some information or give you his email and he can tell you all about it.
Thanks,
Robert
I am not looking for a appraisal. Just a value to see if I need to have it insured.
Thanks
Mary
They are kind of the same thing ,it's how you use the info, whether you sell it or insure it.Still we TRY not to do it.The condition isn't the greatest so I probably wouldn't worry about insuring it,JMHO!
I have to agree, i wouldn't worry about having it insured. If you like it then hang it up and enjoy it! If you email me i would give you the value of it.
