That's a great piece! It's in great shape, too. Hope I'm lucky enough to find one of those at a good price ( probably won't get as good of a deal as you did on the other one though) Thanks for posting!
Actually a machinist's chest/box.
I see these for sale all the time at the flea market...There not cheap
They certainly are not cheap. They are beautifully made. Thinking about making 1 for the last year or so.
I certainly would love to find one like this, not too likely however !~
Just a bit of history about Gerstner ..Hope its ok to post links

Thanks
Great link kaiserlives. Renewed my interest in making a wooden machinist's chest. I found great plans awhile back & will look them up again not. Things are slow in aviation so I need something to keep me busy, off the streets and out of trouble. I do dovetails and all that & have a complete wood shop in the garage. Thanks for the motivation. Guess I'll make at least 2 since almost every time I make something, somebody says, "love it, will you make me one?" About as easy to make 2 or 3 as just 1. I was getting lazy so thanks for the motivation guys.
I do understand ...Take some pictures if you can
