This is a gaudy, but glorious old mantel clock. No maker's name to be found anywhere on the clock. Patent date seems to be Mar '92, which I'm thinking is 1892. There is a figure of a sailor on one side, and perhaps a minuteman on the other. There are two U.S. flags with 13 stars, and an American eagle on top. Clock works with a balance wheel mechanism, which is wound. Would love to know something about it. It has been in the same family for 70 years. It came to Canada from the U.S. at that time.
