Re issued British WWI steel helmet. Helmet was made and issued WWI, the re issued WWII with WWII liner, and new chin strap fixings. Appears to have then been painted black with white W painted on front and rear for civil defence warden. This has then been scraped off, to provide crude cammo, possibly home guard use.
