I originally purchased this 1906 postcard of the Charles St School House in Penacook, NH because it is a very nicely done handcolored postcard. Recently though I was going through some postcards and I realized there was a strange "light" that appears to be in the air on the right side. No other photos or postcards hint at any light source near the school. It is disc shaped and is colored so that it appears it is in motion. Any help with the identification of the object would be appreciated.

Thanks vetraio50! This is my latest mystery.
Thanks BELLIN68.
Possibly a UFO?
Definitely a UFO, and amazing that they sent these cards to get printed and coloured in Germany or overseas usually, and they never missed a beat to colour these cards so well and then lithograph them.
I have/had a wonderful b&w photo post card of a grain elevator and there is a UFO in the sky. And so early on before all this talk of UFO's !!~ Cannot seem to find the card any more although at one time one of my favourites !
Thanks! Your postcard sounds great. For some reason I can find no record of a UFO sighting in that area. I find it interesting that whoever colored it must have known it was a UFO because there would be no reason to add the yellow if they didn't know something in the postcard was giving off light.
Thanks musikchoo.
Mine was a grain elevator with a white flying round shaped disc, I mean someone could have made a pre-invented-frisbee.
It sounds interesting. Was the disc shape high above the ground?
Dear God, if only I could find the postcard, I believe it was somewhat blurry, but I sure never had any other explanation why someone would take a picture like that ! - Phil.
Phil, I have the same question as to why would someone take a picture for a postcard of a school with a UFO in it and not mention the UFO on the card. There are other examples of similar postcards but none of them have a UFO in them.
