Hello Again!,
I've had this for a while and often find myself admiring it, sticking out of a cup next to the computer.
I find it handsome and would like to know for what particular use it was made.
Any ideas?
Thanks Friends!
Tony.

An earlier silverplate tea strainer made by H & T MFG. CO. (Holmes & Tuttle)which was later incorporated into International Silver Co. An acorn is cut in the top of embossed ribbed handle, a decorative leaf pattern is embossed at base of handle on the back side. It should be about 6 1/4" long and the strainer part is 3 3/8" x 2 7/8". The handle is attached with two rivets seen inside the bowl.

I have a similar "tea strainer" with the acorn handle held on by one rivit and has a smooth handle. I know it is very old as it was my great aunts. She passed it to me when she was 82 years old and that was 28 years ago. I am trying to find out the value. If you have any ideas please let me know.
