I found this little guy today. Not sure exactly what it is or what it is for. The salesperson said it was for appetizers, but I think it is too small for that. It is only 3 inches wide max. It has a glass insert and is labeled "Made in England." I cleaned it up a little bit, it didn't clean up like silver or silver plate. Does anyone know what it could be made of? Thanks!

Very interesting piece. The shape is a common one in silver, but I haven't ever seen one like this one. Is the lining glass? Is it opalescent glass or cloud glass? Nice touch! I doubt that it's a caviar dish. I wonder if it's a jam container? There is a space for a serving spoon, as there is on many jam pots. Very interesting!
mikkochristmas11, hey thanks for commenting, no the glass is an insert. It comes out. It is "cloudy", yes, it is. I was thinking jam container also.
I have one of these! I use it for my jewelry, but I think it is some kind of server.
It's pretty too!
Jenniecollects thanks for the comment. Does yours have the glass insert and say made in England also? Thanks!
thanks for the loves mrmajestic1, mustangtony, mikkochristmas11, and bellin68
your very welcome and i love it :) it beautiful:)
Very nice almost as nice as mine (big cheeky grin)
Your liner looks to be a hard plastic in photo or maybe it's because its not clear like the one I have & I think they can be used if we want for anything that fits. Solves problem. But I choose not to use mine.
Hi zowie, no mine has a glass insert also.
BHOCK45 that's great it must just be the photo. I really am glad I never sold any of my Jewels. To everyone else thanks again.
