This pearl adventure began for me with this beautiful grey South Sea pearl necklace. I wear it on special occasions with this Victorian gold brooch with various rose cut diamonds set in silver used as clasp. A very very good handcrafsman of antique jewelry made this possible by adjusting two little rows at the backsite of the brooch and in one fitch a special preparated bead of the necklace. This "treatment"of the necklace and pearls made it possible to wear the brooch spearately and also use it also as a locket for this pearl necklace. This changing without damaging the brooch was possible by a modern laser method. I like very much these two different ways of wearing and show to you how to used your antique juwels nowadays. I can also wear the pearls without the brooch locket and use the for this purpose special preparated pearl bead as locket. So there are several ways of wearing of these two very nice juwels !
The only question I don't know yet is a little bit more of the origin of the pearls because South Sea region is a fairly vague concept. Who knows more to tell about??

I love the color of these pearls. And such a nice technique to add the brooch.
I cant tell you more about the origin of your pearls, sorry.
As always thank you for loving and your nice comment Newtimes!
I'd love to hear more about that modern laser method of changing the brooch without damaging it, it seems like a great idea! Could we please see the back of the pin?
davyd286, thanks for your comment. And of course I show you the back of the pin. I'v repleced two photos of the back of the pin and the site where you can look in one of the "studs?" in which can fastened the pins of the pearl necklace.
If placed these photos in the already on this page brooch/clasp under the link:
