I just purchased this beautiful watch and wanted to show all of you watch lovers. It is an 18 kt gold white gold with four small diamonds and four amethysts that were chemically treated to look like emeralds. It has navy blue hands and keeps perfect time! I have to wind it 15 times every 12 hours and be VERY careful when pulling out the stem.
It dates from the mid to late 1920's and has swiss 17 jewel movement and the name of the company escapes me, it begins with a G. Maybe someone can help me out with it. The band, which is not shown, is 12 kt white gold filigree and is somewhat stretchable. My wrist is small and this band is only 6" when stretched slightly.
The reason I bought this watch was to match my emerald wedding ring, which was made to look vintage with its filigree band. I love the combination and my husband is the greatest guy in the world for getting these for me!
