This is a watch my parents found at a farm sale around 1970 and gave to me. The band isn't correct - it was a finer mesh. I used it in a steampunk project before steampunk. It doesn't work but I've kept it all these years because it's pretty and they gave it to me.
My folks found some great items at those farm sales. I went w/them as a little kid and remember that as my first exposure of beautiful items hinting of life before me.
They bought: gramophones, player & upright pianos, oak round tables, wood chairs, old games and toys....for some reason they didn't go for jewelry or much kitchen items - and I would have enjoyed those most but my siblings closer to home still have the furniture thankfully!
