I have one small sample of some Canton based Lowestoft dating from around the time of the American War of Independence. My pieces are from a set claimed to have been originally commissioned by a family member, one Captain Peter Jenison of Salem, MA and said to be from a design made by the Captain. I would love to get more information if there were any. His grandson, one Horatio H Larned of Lansing, MI was for a time an importer and purveyor of fine China into the early 1930?s. Thank you for anything you might be able to turn up. His place of business was called the National China Shop.
