I love using this enormous bowl for mixing & proofing Bread Dough. It appears to be an "institutional" size. I have never seen another like it and am very curious about it. The bowl shows lots of "rub wear" on the bottom rim with lines (appear to be formed in the making) that radiate up from the bottom almost to the rim.
Details:
Huge 18" rim to rim Clear Glass bowl with spout
6" high
Weighs more than 11 pounds!
Slight yellow tinge
Thick 1/2" glass
"TRADEMARK PYREX MADE IN U.S.A." stamped on bottom

I'm guessing from the description that this is possibly Pyrex laboratory glassware, as they made a wide range of glass for that industry. Still a very nice find for domestic kitchen use.
