I have a set of 12 of these tiny Asian figurines. They appear to be made of painted clay. About 1 1/2" high they are very detailed. I can't read the writing on some of them so I don't know if they may be Chinese or Japanese. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

Hi welove, the figure on the right (top left in the box) appears to be the Chinese Star God Shou, wearing on his purple robe the somewhat stylized symbol 'Shou' meaning longevity or long life. The one next to him could be fat Hotei, one of the Japanese Seven Lucky Gods. Hotei is usually shown with a large sack of toys, but sometimes not. The rest I can't guess. Regards, Jim
