Three pair of shi shi lions, the first are hollow cast thick walled bronze, eight inches tall and weigh eleven pounds. The red lions are solid paste with fired porcelain, six inches tall and weigh over five pounds, The off-white pair are smaller, just under four inches and are made of carved ivory alabaster. This pair was likely made in Italy. Each pair consists of a male, identified by paw on a ball, representing the world, and a female, with paw on a small lion, representing family. None are wearing marks as to origin.
