This is a 1961 Coca-Cola Company Engineering Department commemorative Hutchinson bottle, given out to participants during the national sales convention in Miami Florida.
Another recent eBay purchase. It's in mint condition. These are still fairly common but many lack the original bottle stopper and/or are chipped around the lip of the bottle. Petretti book-valued at $450 but I've seen many sell in the $200-$300 price range. So when I saw this being listed for $78.99 Buy It Now price, I bought it.
The color graphics are amazing on this bottle. The bottom of the bottle reads: Chattanooga Glass Co.
This will be added to the other Coca-Cola Miami Convention items and literature that I currently own.
Thanks for viewing. Ray

Wonder why they exaggerated the length of the stopper ring?
I thought that too. And it's in there so tight that I'm worrying that I might chip the bottle if I try to force it out.
Maybe they made it that long so people could hang it an a hook for display as the orig. length wouldn't do that so well?
I missed one sell for $4 on a tray lot.
Right. You spent all of your allowance that day, huh?
Tried to ask the Coke museum in Atlanta why the ring was exaggerated but to mail them, they require a ZIP code & of course we don't have one. I run into that all the time as Americans seem to think everybody has one & in many cases I can't get around it. Many sites just don't seem to realize that there is a world outside of the States!
haha good one. :P
Spriteboy42, do you think I'm joking? I run into this all the time. "Americans" just don't seem to want to acknowledge that that there is a "rest of the world" out there. It can be really irritating when you don't live in "McDonald's Land"! Hey, and I was born in the States. I get research blocked all the time because of such B.S..
blunderpuss: I think Spriteboy was commenting on my No. 5 comment. I could be wrong though...
I've been talking to my Dad about his Coca Cola bottle collection just today. He has one of these (without the stopper) and told me that he made 100 of these bottles for the engineer's convention. He worked at the Chattanooga Glass Company and was very impressed by the rarely used 4 colors on one bottle.
Sounds like a real collector's item to me!
