This unopened container holds "Specially processed & straightened" tinned wire for fishing leaders. Manufactured by The Hazard Wire Rope Company's Wilkes Barre, PA decades ago, it is of very high test.
I am reasonably sure that such wire was not used by sport fishermen, and wonder if anyone could clarify who would use such strength of wire?
Also, besides of being of interest to collectors, are there any alternative uses for such wire?
Thanks for any input that anyone may be able to give.
