I love the details and uniqueness of this ring. It dates to the mid to late 1940s. The round center diamond sits in a square, illusion setting. The square head appears to be a flower or rose. The diamond is flanked by red spinels, which are more pink in color. The adjacent band has 5 red spinels in a similar hue, and again the setting has amazing detail. For its age, the design and lines are still crisp. Although there are really 2 rings, they have been soldered together, which I understand is typical of engagement and wedding ring sets of that time. The ring size is approximately 8.
