I recently found this doll in my grandmothers closet and am hoping someone can give me anymore info about it, like maybe a time period it's from. I'm not having any luck finding another doll like it online. Her tag says soft vinyl head and latex skin body. Her eyes open and close and she has real eyelashes and she is about 16 inches tall. The name EEGEE in stamped on the back of her neck. Thanks so much for any help!

Hi Eegee started making dolls out of latex in very early 50's and I would date from that time period 1950's possible she was still being made very early 60's . That is the rubber like part of her body. It did not stand up well and often these dolls have very cracked bodies or discolored . Your's in beautiful condition. She does not have a name I can recall but look at ends of box and backside of hang tag and see if she has a name like "Susan" ect . Very nice !
Eegee was not one of the largest or most famous doll makers but they did make a few good quality dolls among some that were not as well done as yours .
Thanks so much! I've looked all over the box and tag and can't find a name, oh well. I can't believe she's that old!
