    Received this, among other, large paintings from my great grandfather. Looking for any info or educated info on this. Its about 52" tall. Does feel original to the touch, but I have NO clue about these types of items!!

      Looks like a lot of Lacquer which is good, possible worth a ton of money, so be very easy with them. Dog and cat may like this so put then up

      An English family? It actually reminds me of Samuel Pepys (1633 - 1703). You probable need some help from a professional auction house.

      @vetraio50 yes, I found out thru family this is Samuel Pepys. Now to find out if this is an original and by who! My great grandmothers aunt handed it down to yer
