I purchased this at an antique shop and the description was 19th century Egyptian measuring cup. The only thing is it has a hole in the bottom. I've looked around for something similar and can't figure out its purpose (measure spice, etc)?
Any help would be appreciated!~

If it is truly an ancient Egyptian artifact, maybe it was to measure time, much like an hour glass?
i dont know how old it is!...but the conical shape is strange too, right?
