This is another auction find....I can't believe our good luck to have found this. There was only a couple of other people that were interested in it and we were lucky enough to have won it. It stands about 7' tall and is carved out of 1 solid piece of wood and fully painted from the base to the head dress. To move him from the auction house to our home took a 16' trailer, 4 people to carry him, a mattress for him to lay on and a blanket to cover him up....you should have seen the looks that we received on our ride home. We first had him in my frame shop window where he always had a view of the outside and caught peoples attention. Since closing my shop he is now in our living room and is quite a conversational piece....especially from kids that have never been to our house. I talked to, thru email, a collector and he dated him from around the 1950's. We just love him....I mean, how many people have a 7' Cigar Sore Indian in their living room.
