Purchased this rough old Coca-Cola toy from an eBay BIN deal for forty-five smackers, soley because it looks good from one angle. That being the angle at which one looks up to see the middle recessed window sill of the Coke Cave. This tin truck is missing paint on the front end, a hubcap off the right side, and somebody painted the inside of the bed. But the illusion of quality is good enough for me in this case (books mint condition at $700 and I ain't going there! :)
My very first Spriteboy piece, believe it or not.
I have two more window sills down here! Got my eye on a 30's Metalcraft, but I fear that one won't come cheap...

Looks great there to Dave. That was a great deal for that condition.
Another SCORE for the Daddy!!
Snag the Metalcraft one from Ray next time he list's it and walla, you've got another window filled!
Thanks Bernie. I'd like to figure out how to take that paint off, seems to be an acrylic. Probably would do more damage then good using paint remover.
Ray has a Metalcraft? Hmmm... :)
Wow, she's a beauty! : )
thanks miKKo for stopping by, appreciate the comment.

This is easily a $200 truck...in this condition. It's in played with condition, which to me, is a great condition since it was used for its intended purpose. Nice BIN QUINLAN deal.
Thanks TGBWC. I stepped a little outside my comfort zone on this one, but thought the financial risk was worth potential value/display quality reward. Always good to hear from you.
BIN strikes again! While I'm in Vegas, singin, sleepin late and basically disconnected from all reality, you are out there winning the cool stuff!
"Financial risk"? You paid $45.
Thanks Perry! The Vegas gig sounds just a lit-tle more fun! :)
Yeah TGBWC, you're right, that wasn't exactly bundled mortgage securities.
At the risk of sounding old I got one of these for Christmas when I was a bit younger....OK quite a bit younger. These and John Deere tractors were the thing of the day. I still have the tractor and attachments and I think my coke truck is in my mother's attic. Thanks for sharing this, fun memories.
My pleasure, thank you for your comments, fhrjr2. And we're not old. Just well seasoned!
Now yer truckin'...!!
