ty amberrose,,,,,,anyone got any idea on that leg structure??? does it have a name, etc??
ok,,my eyes hurt from reading,,,does anyone else think this could be a harry and lou epstein piece???????? or do i just want it to be??
Hi, nelliedean! Very nice item. "Sideboard" was the first word that came to mind for this item, and AmberRose is very good with vintage furniture! RE 'legs'. I don't have any Deco furniture reference works at home, so I'm flying on memory and the internet right now. I suppose that your sideboard could be Epstein, but these bentwood pedestals are frequently found in French Art Deco, and that's where I first tried to find it - unsuccessfully. I found many similar, but not an exact match. I did a Googles images search for Epstien and didn't find any pieces with this exact bentwood/etc. base, though I did find two pieces with heavy bentwood pedestals. Have you consulted reference works on Art Deco furniture at a good library? Here's a link to a Google search for best books on Art Deco furniture. Wish I could have helped more. Best wishes for success! ; )

P.s. Two more suggestions. Photos of interior might yield important clues as to maker. Also, hardware, if original, might also be identified more easily than the furniture 'care'. : )
RE my Comment No. 7: Oops. I meant to say furniture "case" not "care".
To miKKo Christmas,,thank you soooooooo much, i,ll read as much as i can and post some pictures of interior,,,,,the handles are brass coloured and made by croft and assinder, i dont know if that helps, but that kind of swayed me away from french towards epstein, like you, i couldn,t fins anything the same on the internet.
