I had some really interesting finds this week and one big miss!

Another great find was this copper enamel bowl with lid. Naturally they are taped shut when they are at the thrift. I did a quick peel back, and imagine my surprise when I saw that the inside was enameled too!
No markings No signature. Maybe Italian? Think for 60s.

Also I couldn't resist this homemade dollhouse dresser. Just a clever little design.

The MISS: Large, orange Alsterfors glass vase. (signed!) In another woman's cart. 3.95 dollars. I offered her 20 bucks for it and she side stepped away.
Thought about a parking lot mugging (Sean told me to do it) but sat in my car and swore instead.
Still stomping around because of it.

Agreed Eye4. I think she might have been a dealer though

A remarkable find here! It definitely takes me back to the 1960's. My mother's things were all early American colonial style - she was a classicist, but one member of my family used to buy trendy things, and this reminds me of her decors a bit. Very unusual! And I think you indicated before - some time back - that these enameled pieces were trendy again? Good show, AmberRose! : )

I want to go to the thrift you go to. I promise if you are there I will sell you whatever I have for a pittance if you just give me the address.

This was made by a California company called Landau & Associates, the line is called "California Cloisonne." Probably late 50's early 60's

Try not to think about the Alsterfors... When that happens to me, I visualize droplets of water running off a duck's back, and it helps me remove the dissapointment from my mind. Know what I mean? Kind of imagine the droplets of water is the disapointment just rolling right off you. It really helps me

Stillwater, I missed your comment from earlier. Thank you for the tip on what it is called and thank you for a nice lesson in life. I usually pull the squeegee across the window. (did you know that is how squeegee is spelled?? crazy!)

Thank you to everyone for the love!!
