We have had the 2 books of his personal memoirs books saved from my wife's grandmother, I have not look at them for 20 years, today i looked at them and found with on the first book. This volumes are dedicated to the American soldiers and Sailors. New York City, May 23 1885 maybe he die july 23 1885. Is is his signature? I read he was really sick.
