These two ashtrays promote the same product, but are of different variations. The one of the right states "Gibbons Is Good", which probably dates from the 60s. "Is good" was their slogan then, and the commercials featured Senor Wences doing the ads. These were really well done ads, and hopefully the TV ones exist somewhere. I know that the radio ones have been saved.

The one one the left features Gibbons' older slogan, which may have spanned from the 30s til 60s. These had a really catchy jingle too, which thankfully, have been preserved.

Both are made of thick gauge steel, and both are mint condition, as are the other 6 that I acquired within this lot. Both are about 4 13/16 inches at their widest point, or about 12.3Cm.

Such old time promos, were simple, but effective, and bring back a flood of memories for me! My parents had a bar, and the promos left a profound influence on me!!!!!
