Beautiful fragrance! I love the Hermes fragrances. It is so sad that they kill the musk deer to make them. There are man-made versions of 'musk' available, but so many of the great perfume houses continue to use the natural musk. For this reason, I never buy Hermes fragrances. (The old Amazone was one of my all-time favorite fragrances.) As a matter of fact, when I run out of my current cologne, I won't be replacing it because I was surprised to read that it uses musk, too. This completely surprised me because the musk was quite imperceptible - this is a very light lime water! One must read labels, I think.

Yes, I know, I was shocked too! They kill the deer to get it. Mass numbers. Something like poachers killing elephants for their ivory. And chemists can make musk in the lab! Ah, sometimes life is hard. Sorry to rain on this beautiful fragrance, but I thought you should know. Thanks very much for your great courtesy, sir!
