Thought I'd share some of my cake stand collection. The first pic is a compilation of cake stands displayed in my dining area; I built a cantilevered glass shelf backed with mirrors around the perimeter of the room for display and added some those small white Christmas light for added effect. The second photo during a cleaning session when I had a bunch of the cake stands gathered on the dining table.

TY miKKO : not really a recipe for the torte; just a compilation of butter cake brushed with melted preserves & raspberry liqueur, raspberry mousse, topping of shaved bittersweet chocolate, and then frozen long enough to set the mousse.

What an impressive and beautiful display of cake plates, TallCakes! All I can say is...WOW!!! It is wonderful to have a collection of things you love and to have the ability to showcase it in such a creative way as you have. We are in the process of replacing the cabinets in our dining room to make room for our sandwich glass collection. I can only hope it turns out half as nice looking as yours display does!
