i really think this is a Kralik piece.. i know ive seen this exact shape a "pair" but with a bambus decor complete with thorns!
I'm pretty sure I've seen this shape with modern stickers on it from Poland :) I'll keep my eyes open for another.

Ketterer catalog, 1979, the uber auction that was cancelled entirely so that Ricke could buy the whole lot. A pair of these was already there.

I remain unconvinced. None of those references are at all confirmed by anything solid. An auction house and someone in an Ebay listing? Just because Ricke bought the whole collection, which included one of these does not mean that everything in the collection was old. Collections come with good and bad.
I am pretty sure I've seen these with tags in this shape and decor and to me the Pontil scar definitely looks like a new snap off scar on the one pictured here (although that could be an optical illusion).
I've been odd man out before, against the tide as it were, and that's ok. :) Maybe there is a better reason to think these are Kralik that has been forgotten or not shown.. My role here is to offer a counter point without that evidence having been offered. :)
With that I am going to bow out of this conversation unless I find that proof to support my assertions. It may be awhile ;)

Did Kralik make such thick heavey glass vases ?
Kyle, yup.. an ebay *Dealer* has decided to call it Kralik.. does that make it fact?
nuh huh.
Just like auction catalogs are for the most part to be distrusted as a legitimate source.
Their job is to sell things to people.

yes CURRENTLY, one ebay dealer is selling a pair as Kralik.. but i have seen these on auction before WITH provenance marks.. which means these were produced in the late 20's thru the 30's i admit i have not seen that many of them "rare".. the first thing Alfredo said when i showed him the pic of this piece in question was, I have wanted one of those for years!,, now i realize that doesnt proove anything.. but to me it means he has seen these before attributed to kralik.. i as well have seen these sold as Kralik a few times in 20 yrs.. im not here to fight with anyone :)... also wanted to add the current listing of the two like this one has 4 or more offers... HELLO!.. anyway everyone is definately entitled to their own opinion.. fine and dandy this vase is Kralik.. my final say... for now ;)
and the pontl remarks, not all pontl marks are perfect! im positive i have Kralik pieces with a not so nice looking Pontl
different pontil rods leave different kinds of marks or scars. The modern type leave a very clean ring like this has. The broken pontil scars from way back leave a different looking scar.
They only started using the kind of rod that caused these marks in the 60's or so.
