trunkman
(112 items)

The second trunk that I found over twenty years ago was full of garbage -- and to take the trunk form the curb meant to take the garbage that was in it. Under a layer of trash was this unopened bottle of Ruinart champagne as well as a purse with letters from Germany date 1919. I have had this bottle kicking around and really do not know what to do with it. I want to throw it out but it is kinda cool and looks really old. How old I have no clue. Ruinart is still in business today. Unfortunately this bottle has never been kept properly so the champagne inside is undoubtably bad.

excuse my thoughts, but if you wanted, burn different colors of candles and let drip down the sides for a very 1970s look.

What was the subject matter of the letters? Just curios or was it in German?

They were love letters -- I had someone read them to me 20 years ago and the content has slipped from my memory like a nice bottle of merlot....

I guess we should open our bottles! Aren't your curious to see how it tastes?

I have been outrageously curious for about the 20 years I have had this... and a little frightened quite frankly... cheers! (but the way I LOVE Portuguese cornbread! -- probably would go well with a little red)

With a portuguese "tinto"... and São Jorge cheese! I bet you have all these delights (don't know if this the correct word for it) in Canada with so many portuguese from Azores living there.
    Cheers trunkmonkey!

Yes a little lovely area in the Portuguese quarter of Montreal with all the great restaurants... getting hungry just thinking about it... Now I have to go out and see if I can find some Sao Jorge cheeze...

And look for tinto from Douro! Forget if they try to sell you Alentejo! Just say you want red wine from Douro!
