This bottle of scotch used to be displayed at my parents living room when I was a kid. It was on top of the bookshelve by the original, big Tio Pepe bottle. I never thought about it but geee, that sure was the most kitsch corner of the house :)
Well, after that it was kept at some cabinet for years until I rescued it from oblivion and took it home with me, as i did with a bunch of wonderful stuff I remembered from my childhood and had been kept for years, just like this amazing bottle.
The funny thing about alcohol at home is that my father never drunk, but being a doctor we had every and each one of his patients giving him bottles of wine and licquor every Christmas time... so we sure had the best and most complete wine cellar in the neighbourhood, only that we don't drink (ok, I love beer, cider and wine, but not stronger stuff). I guess this bottle came as one of those Christmas presents sometime before 1970, because I've known it forever.
I have other kitsch bottles at home I will share at CW, and I remember some amazing whisky bottles at my parent's cellar. I should take a look down there one of these days.
